Reproduction and Evolutionary Ecology- Fogarty Lab

  • With the worldwide  decline of coral reefs, it is crucial to understand how reduced coral densities from    local and global stressors influence coral reproductive success and the resilience of this ecosystem.  My lab uses a multidisciplinary approach of fieldwork, laboratory experiments, captive coral spawning, physiology, and molecular biology to better understand the anthropogenic stressors driving coral mortality.  Our goal is to apply this research to coral conservation, restoration, and management efforts.
